In my opinion you should check the references of all breeders before buying a dog from them. The many Yorkie Yahoo lists like Yorkiefriends, Yorkieviews2, , HealthyDog, or the Yorkie-L list and or search engines can provide a wealth of information to you before you spend your hard earned dollars. Fancy web sites and claims aren't worth the cyberspace they take up. Do your homework before your purchase and not afterwards.
And Lastly, if a breeder uses the words "TEACUP" in reference to a Yorkie run like hell to another breeder. This is an incorrect term as it applies to Yorkies and is only used to deceive you or to raise the price of the dog.
Remember: An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.
The breeders contained on this page have been compiled from several sources. Some of them are known to me personally but most aren't. If you're planning on adopting a Yorkie, select your breeder very carefully. Be sure to ask for references and then call those references and ask questions about their experience with the breeder. Visit the breeder's facility and look around. Observe how the facility is maintained and how the pups are being treated. This process isn't to be taken lightly. Your new pup, hopefully, will be with you for a long time and their welfare should be your main concern. If your instincts tell you not to buy from a breeder then trust that instinct and move on.
